Marilyn Haynes
Marilyn started her amateur acting career performing for the Chatsworth Musical Society, then The Melody Makers and on to pantomimes with the Sawley Players, where she is still a member. After joining Erewash back in 1995 she as become a stalwart member of the chorus in many of the society’s shows. She is also on both the social and main committees. Marilyn as two grown up children Lisa and Paul and has worked for the last 22 years in special needs education.

Born in: Ruskin College, Oxford – due to the college being requisitioned as a hospital during the war
Grew up in: Moved to Derby at the tender age of 3 months old, subsequently lived and went to school in Littleover
Star sign: Aries
Hobbies: When I’m not involved with performing, you can find me in the garden
Favourite Music: Country and rock music
Most wanted to play: I’ve no desire to play a part, I’m happy in the chorus.
First job: I worked in the offices of Derby City Council – Children’s Dept. later to amalgamated into what’s now known as Social Services
First ever record: Rock Around The Clock by Bill Hayley & the Comets
Favourite film: I love Moulin Rouge, Evita and Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves
